about
Tamisha Castro was born and raised in Minnesota where she has enjoyed making art ever since she was little. She mainly focuses on creating interactive websites and installations, utilizing a wide array of media from film and sound to painting and collage. She touches on topics such as intergenerational trauma and immigration and what her place in the world is. Her work has been shown at places such as MCAD and Las Laguna Art Gallery. She has been awarded numerous awards such as The Lacek Group’s BIPOC Scholarship, gold and silver Scholastic Keys, and even obtained a Superior from the Minnesota State High School League of Visual Arts. She holds a BFA in Web + Multimedia Environments from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
