Influenced by artists like Ai Weiwei, Jonas Mekas, Jimena Reno, and more, I strive to make whatever I’m interested in and aim to document every bit of it in any way I can

My CV

From plastering toothpaste on the tv screen to winning multiple art awards, I have been creating and making for as long as I can remember.

In 2019, a skateboard design I had painted was hung in the State Capitol for display. In 2021, I received a gold key and three silver keys from the Scholastic Art Awards. That same year, I also obtained a Superior in the Minnesota State High School League of Visual Arts. My most recent accomplishments include having artwork showcased in Las Laguna’s Black and White Show and being a recipient of The Lacek Group’s BIPOC Scholarship.

Now I am in college and hoping to reach even bigger accomplishments and gain recognition as an artist.

About

Tamisha Castro was born and raised in Minnesota where she has enjoyed making art ever since she was little. Although she enjoys traditional art the most, specifically painting, she is currently working towards a BFA in Web and Multimedia Environments with a minor in Experimental Games and Graphic Design.

Other than art, Tamisha’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her ferret and make memories with friends.
